Less “what’s wrong
with me?”
More curiosity
about you.

When sleep shifts, patience runs thin, or a familiar day feels different, having a personal pattern to reflect on can give your check-in a place to start.

Heart rate variability is the variation in timing between beats. Sovereign estimates it from your camera pulse reading and compares your daily pattern with your own recent baseline.

In the first few days, you’ll see “Learning You.” A baseline begins after readings on at least three prior days. As you keep checking in, it uses the previous 14 days of available readings.

A signal to notice.
You bring the context.

A little wonder.
A real method.

Here’s what’s happening beneath that quiet minute.

Light finds the pulse.

Your phone’s light illuminates your fingertip. The camera detects small changes in reflected light as blood volume changes with each pulse—a method called photoplethysmography, or PPG.

Timing reveals a pattern.

The app checks the signal and estimates pulse timing and variability. It asks you to adjust or try again when it cannot get a clean reading. Camera-based estimates are sensitive to movement and recording conditions.

Your history gives it context.

Sovereign’s Weather compares your daily variability estimate with your own baseline. The weather names are Sovereign’s way of presenting those patterns, not clinical categories or a prediction of how you will feel.

The science, and what a reading can tell you

Researchers have studied smartphone PPG for estimating pulse variability, and HRV changes during menopausal symptoms. Those studies support exploring the underlying signals; they do not validate Sovereign’s specific algorithm or Weather labels.

HRV can vary with breathing, sleep, activity, illness, medication and other factors. A finger scan cannot identify hormone levels, determine menopausal stage, or tell you why a symptom is happening. Short camera readings are not interchangeable with a clinical ECG assessment. Use your reading alongside how you feel, and discuss health concerns with a qualified clinician.

For the moments
that don’t make
the calendar.

The conversation you’re still replaying. The evening you need to exhale. The thought you want to get out of your head and onto a page.

Sovereign brings those small acts of care into one considered space. Open it where you are. Begin with what you need.

Meet the quieter
side of your day.

A little less alone. A little more clear.

Quinn is your AI companion for reflection, grounded next steps, and putting words to what you are experiencing. You choose what to share. AI support is not a therapist or emergency service.
